Grill On During Winter!
Grilling in Alaska goes hand and hand with Alaskan living. If you’ve lived in Alaska for any amount of time (like the owners of The Propane Guys) you will know that grill season has nothing to do with the temperature.
If we waited for the weather to cooperate in this state to grill, we’d be waiting a very long time. Or even worse, we’d be consolidating our grilling season to only a few months. The Propane Guys understand the dilemma of our residential customers and have entered the market to make sure that you always have propane ready and available at your home!
The professional, friendly crew at The Propane Guys is your locally owned and operated residential and commercial propane delivery solution providing pre-filled, certified propane tanks for your residential and commercial needs, in the last frontier – right to your door with the click of a mouse or smart phone!

Winter Grill Tips
Not that we doubt your raving grill skills, but here are a few tips for those that may need them on how best to be an effective Alaskan griller.
Grill Tip 1
Warm it up. Your grill will take extra time to bring your grill up to the correct temps to start cooking. Make sure you utilize adequate time for this in your cooking plans; 20 minutes is ideal.
Grill Tip 2
Re-position your grill from summer. Ensuring you are in a wind-protected, and element protected area will increase the grill efficiency as well as keep the dutiful griller happier. Make sure you are not choosing an enclosed area or one that may create a fire hazard.
Grill Tip 3
During cold weather, knobs and lines can become brittle and break. Make sure you are checking parts of your grill to ensure that everything is functioning correctly.
Grill Tip 4
Have extra fuel on hand. Because of the additional time needed to elevate and maintain grill temps, extra fuel will be utilized. Make sure you’re prepared by ordering 2 pre-filled propane tanks ahead of time.
Grill Tip 5
Give your food extra time to cook. Food will take longer in colder elements and wind. Make sure to check the readiness of your meats and veggies with the proper thermometer. There could be anywhere from a 30 to 100 percent increased cooking times depending on the food.
