I only have one propane tank at my home, why should I convert to having two tanks instead?
As a part of our route service, we provide your spare tank at no additional charge (just the standard, discounted 2nd container swap rate). Providing a second tank to you, our valued customers, allows flexibility of having a full spare tank on hand. This allows you to request a tank swap from The Propane Guys when one of your tanks is empty – while giving you the ability to easily swap in your full tank. It’s that easy!
I am in SE Anchorage, what is your regular date in my service area?
You will find our service area map at the link below, and our automated system will also confirm your service date upon requesting a propane tank swap online. The Propane Guys are available for a tank swap outside of an area’s scheduled service date – for an additional expedited service fee. Our goal is to never be out of propane, and our expansive service options provide that flexibility by providing full, spare tanks on hand with minimal additional cost.
If my tank is out of certification, how do The Propane Guys handle that?
The friendly crew at The Propane Guys will be happy to take out of date tank and provide a full, certified, and ready to be put into service tank. There is a minimal $5.00 certification fee to take a tank that is out of date when swapping out for a new, clean, certified and most importantly – FULL tank.
Can The Propane Guys install a tank on my grill or patio heater for me?
We wish that we could help with that, but unfortunately we cannot. In today’s world where litigation is so common, our insurance carriers do not allow us to physically install propane tanks into any system, including grills, heaters, mosquito magnets, or any other devices. A full, clean, and certified tank will be left in a pre-arranged location upon delivery for install on propane powered devices. Questions about general propane tank safety or installation guidelines, please visit the link below or see your specific devices operations manual.
What is the ideal location to have an empty propane tank located for a scheduled service date?
It’s up to you! (within reason of course) Our system allows our Customer Service Reps (CSR’s) to see a specific site instruction that notes where to expect the empty tank to be. We then place the full, clean, and certified tank for your use. The side of the garage, front or back porch, or even “under the hedge to the east” are all options when utilizing The Propane Guys. Consider us your personal propane courier, delivering propane to you in the most service friendly manner possible.
What if I forget to leave my tank out on my schedule day of service?
Of course, we would love for this to never happen, which is also why we love technology. Get a text message, email, or voice call reminder the evening before to remind you to place your tank in the agreed upon location. If for some reason you do in fact forget to leave your propane out as agreed, no big deal. We will contact you directly, resolve the issue, and ensure that our system is set up to avoid any missed services in the future. In the rare case that a tank is inaccessible multiple times despite our best efforts, a “No Access” fee of $15.00 will be applied for that date of service.
Do you require a contract period for your convenient propane delivery services?
No! We want to be your service provider, and we want to earn your business. If, at anytime services do not meet or exceed expectations or propane delivery is no longer needed, contact for a final tank swap and we will bring clean, non-branded, certified tanks. We will follow up with a card thanking clients for their business and asking for more information about where we missed the mark. Or hope and expectation is that this will never actually happen, but if it does we plan to learn from it and provide a better service moving forward.
